Creating Your Own Free
Rounded Corner Templates - Page 2
2. (Continued
From Page 1) On the top toolbar, click "File",
then hover over "New" and choose "Current Surface
Color Background". (or if you want black, white or gray). The
whole page will then turn your desired background color. If you
are not happy with it, change it now as there is no turning back
once a background color is chosen. Now in the "surface"
box, click the color wheel again and choose the desired color of
your template border. (you can experiment here, and always use the
"undo" arrow in the toolbar and go back several steps).
When you choose a color click the OK button. Also in the surface
box, you will adjust your "Opacity" (transparent) and "Gloss" (how shiny you want it). To
start out make sure both sliders are all the way to the right.
3. In the "Shape" box, you will
choose the shape of your template corners. You have to choose
three options (one from the 1st set of 4, then one each from then
next sets of 2). To start out, I would recommend that you use the
second shape from the left (just to the right of the donut shape).
Start with an exterior shape, so choose
the fifth shape from the left. (hover over it, it says
"raised"). Then choose the last shape on the right.
(when you hover over it, it says "arced". (these are just hints to get you going, you can experiment as you
feel comfortable). Also in the surface box, you need to choose the
"Depth" and "Corner Radius". To begin, I recommend a depth of 6 and
a corner radius of 8.
4. You are ready to start! Place your mouse
arrow towards the top of the page a bit left of center. Hold down
your left mouse button and drag it down towards the bottom right
of the page and let go of the mouse button. A box of some type
will appear. You can always use the "undo" arrow on the
top toolbar and go back to start over. To put a white center to
your box, change your color in the "surface" box to
white. In the "Shape" box, choose the fifth shape from
the left (lowered), and change your corner radius to 4. (to accommodate
an inside corner). Make your total template at least 750 pixels
wide and 650 pixels tall. You can view your X and Y locations on
the top right toolbar.
